Travis Kelce Turns Down First Live TV Gig After Learning He Can’t Be Drunk On Camera
CLEVELAND HEIGHTS, OH - After learning that he can’t be drunk on camera, Travis Kelce turned down his first live television role as host of ‘Are You Smarter Than A Celebrity?’ on Amazon Prime Video.
“Why would I want to be on a stupid game show if I can’t partaaay?!” the Kansas City Chief star said. “That’s what TV is all about babyyyyyy. If I can’t get lit, I’mmmmm outta here.”
Kelce’s decision is a huge blow to Amazon studio executives who are desperately trying to salvage another quarter of poor ratings by riding off of his and Taylor Swift’s coattails. And thanks to his newly elevated stardom, Kelce isn’t finding it hard to land other roles. Already, he’s been offered a chance to replace Nick Cannon as the host of America’s Got Talent, a semi-recurring role in Young Sheldon, and even a cameo in Captain America 4.
Despite the offers, Kelce has remained adamant about his preference to land a role that looked more favorably upon drinking on the job. According to some sources, Kelce has partnered with Rob Gronkowski in an effort to start a new five-on-five football league where drinking and smoking on the sidelines is encouraged.
At press time, Kelce was overheard asking a barista at Starbucks if they could “throw a Kahlua topper” in his coffee and “where the VIP waiting section is.”
