Dad Cheers For Opposing U-12 Soccer Team Until Son Gives Him Something To Root For

SPRINGFIELD, TX - Local dad Ted Johnson drew heat from fellow parents at his son’s U-12 soccer game for openly rooting for the other team. “You’re sick!” a mom shouted at him. “What is wrong with you?” another dad said. “Look, I love my son,” Ted rebuttled. “But he needs to learn that praise isn’t just given, it’s earned. These kids are 1-6 on the season so far, and they only won because the other team forfeited. Timmy is our starting striker and hasn’t scored a single goal. I’m not going to hype him up for running around in circles like a retard out there. I want my son to be a winner, and until he steps up his game and gives me something to cheer for, I’m rooting for the other team. Despite Mr. Johnson’s unusual tactics, his son’s team failed to find any motivation and scored two own goals in a 6-0 loss. At press time, Mr. Johnson was seen asking the opposing teams left-midfielder if he wanted new parents and giving him his business card.
