Dad Cheers For Opposing U-12 Soccer Team Until Son Gives Him Something To Root For

SPRINGFIELD, TX - Local dad Ted Johnson drew heat from fellow parents at his son’s U-12 soccer game for openly rooting for the other team. “You’re sick!” a mom shouted at him. “What is wrong with you?” another dad said. “Look, I love my son,” Ted rebuttled. “But he needs to learn that praise isn’t just given, it’s earned. These kids are 1-6 on the season so far, and they only won because the other team forfeited. Timmy is our starting striker and hasn’t scored a single goal.
