Uncle O’Grimacey Cancelled After Video Emerges Of Him Drunkenly Beating His Wife

MIAMI, FL - Just a few days after McDonald's brought back one of their beloved characters for the annual return of their Shamrock Shake, the burger chain was forced to cancel Uncle O’Grimacey after a leaked video shows the mascot drunkenly beating his wife in early January.

The video released by TMZ shows O’Grimacey stumbling through the lobby of the Hard Rock Casino at 3:45 am on January 16th with a young woman. As the couple walks to the elevators, they seem to start arguing with each other. Moments later when the couple arrives on the 15th floor, hallway footage shows O’Grimacey dragging his girlfriend by the hair to the ice machine room where he proceeds to repeatedly hit her in the head and kick her in the stomach.

In a statement released Sunday morning, McDonald's apologized for the incident and announced that they would be immediately suspending their marketing campaign featuring O’Grimacey.

But in a press conference on Saturday, Uncle O’Grimacy defended his actions, claiming that it was a misunderstanding and that he was being unfairly accused because of his Irish heritage.

“The accusations against me are completely bogus. I love my wife dearly and have always treated her with fairness and respect. This is a witch hunt against proud Irish-Americans like myself. And it’s completely unfair that I’m being targeted for these alleged crimes when my fellow mascots aren’t held to the same standards. My cousin Grimace has notoriously committed tax fraud for years, and nobody bats an eye. Birdie faced no repercussions for infecting thousands of people in New York City with bird flu when she was working at a call girl in the South Bronx. And what about the Hamburglar?! He makes no attempt to hide his thievery and is even celebrated for it. Over the next few days, I will be exposing important information that will hold every member of the McDonald’s family accountable for their actions.”

Despite Uncle O’Grimacey’s defense, few could look past his blatant physical abuse and chalked off his statements as the ramblings of a drunken Irishman.

At press time, O’Grimacey was seen at a pub in Dublin telling a group of patrons that he was being scapegoated to cover up the recent DOGE discovery that McDonald’s had been offering kickbacks to the FDA for looking past the fact that they used horsemeat in the McRib.
