Scottie Scheffler Skips Hole 12 To Protest Police

LOUISVILLE, KY - After spending the morning in a jail cell for failing to obey orders at a traffic stop on Friday, Scottie Scheffler defiantly announced that he planned to not play hole 12 at the PGA Championship to protest the police.

“I’m just trying to play golf, man.” Scheffler told reporters ahead of his second round. “These muhs keep tryna to hold me down. Tell me I can’t play my game. Don’t wanna see a young man thrive. I’m not gonna let ‘em. My momma didn’t raise no pussy.”

The decision to not play the hole was harshly criticized by the PGA, who threatened to disqualify Scheffler if he took to such a protest. But that only further emboldened the young golfer who claimed it was more proof that ‘the system’ was trying to hold him back.

According to some sources, Scheffler has become increasingly unruly and arrogant following his second Master’s win a few weeks ago. “He used to be such a nice, sweet boy.” longtime coach Jim Peterson said. “But lately, he shows up late to practice, blasting that rap music - some guy named 21 Savage. Every time he hits a good drive he shouts ‘slaughter gang.’ I’m really worried about his safety.”

At press time, Scottie’s cousins were reportedly selling t-shirts with his mugshot and the caption #FreeScottie outside the Valhalla Country Club’s grounds.
